Hamilton Beach Breaks 2-Year Ad Hiatus

by SmartBrief, November 29, 2011
Household product maker Hamilton Beach hasn't advertised since 2009, but it is returning in a big way, with three new TV spots via the Darling Agency, New York. The ads, slated to roll out before Christmas, will showcase the marketer's new coffee maker, lineup of irons and an updated slow cooker, with the spots to focus on the family-oriented or personal nature of the products. Digital, social media and print ads will round out the campaign.

A Simple Search Box

by David Gianatasio, September 30, 2011
Darling Agency in New York goes minimal with its new website, which is just a search box. You can still get the requisite information, but instead of clicking on a link you have to type in stuff like "About," "Clients," "Work" and "Contact." Sometimes, typing in profanities and joke searches yields funny responses. For example...

Darling Brand Website

by Jaci Russo, September 27, 2011
Let me preface this post with a great big disclaimer.  We never talk about other agencies.  Good or bad.  It's just not kosher.  The purpose of Razor Branding Blog is to share our knowledge and expertise on how to build your brand. Bravest Ad Agency Website

by Paul Suggett, September 21, 2011
Even when the creatives in the agency have their names above the door, there is always pressure to make the agency website something that boasts, brags and pushes the kitchen sink at the readers. Not so with Darling's new website. They have gone so bare bones and minimal that even Google's home page looks busy in comparison. When you type in the usual words, like work, portfolio, contact, team and so on, you get just what you'd expect. But...

Insight on The San Francisco Egotist

by The San Francisco Egotist, June 15, 2011
Here's a tough assignment for you: selling our mobile culture on landlines. Us? We've got them - mostly because we live in San Francisco where we drop calls every 2 blocks and some of us can't even get signals in our own homes. If you haven’t cut off your phone landlines completely already, take a minute to consider when they might come in handy.
