Monica began her career in film and television working with the legendary production company, Jim Henson Productions. Determined to become more involved with film making, she signed herself up for NYU’s Tisch School of Film and Television Production. She soon picked up more experience with Larry Clark on the controversial film Kids. Soon Monica found herself producing for such advertising agencies as Ogilvy, Lowe, Leo Burnett, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and BBDO. Working with clients such as: Lenovo Computers, AT&T, Glenlivet, Saab, Cadillac, Sony PlayStation, GMC, Bayer, General Motors, MTV, PBS, Chrysler, and Nissan. Whilst working in advertising she came up with a simple but powerful idea: create the “Oscars for Motion Picture Trailers” and “The Golden Trailer Awards” was born. Twelve years later, the Golden Trailer awards are quickly expanding. In her spare time she has started a bourbon company and is directing her first feature film, an adaptation of Betrayed by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the winter of 2011/2012. She currently lives on the island of Manhattan.
